MIDA in Action: Nummi/Toyota Plant
MIDA successfully decommissioned the Nummi/Toyota Plant (Fremont, CA - 2010).
Over 400 employees worked nonstop for 9 months to:
- demolish and clean the entire body shop (over 1 million square feet of equipment, pits and tanks) - decontaminate and clean all 3 paint shops, the entire wastewater facility and every underground vault, pit and sump - clean every storage tank such that it could be disposed of as non-hazardous material and sold off as scrap metal
This complex large-scale project was completed on time and on budget without a single OSHA reportable injury, environmental violation or city violation.
